Use this checklist as a guide to change your thought patterns and rid yourself of negativity.

It is a well known fact that positive people are more successful, it’s simply down to the way you think which in turn determines your actions.

All you need to do to live a more positive life is…

1. Have a clear out.

2. Do two things a day that you have been putting off.

3. Eat well, exercise and sleep well.

4. Be grateful for what you’ve already achieved, remind yourself constantly of the great things/people in your life

5. Never make assumptions. Most of the time what we think or fear is not justified in reality – you can convince yourself of anything if you want to! Focus on the facts only.

6. Learn, read and listen every day.

7. Turn negative thoughts into positive ones. When a negative thought enters your mind, switch your focus to how that thought has helped you. Every thought has a constructive viewpoint. Optimists are able to turn things around and attract more positivity.

8. Take responsibility for your own actions. Try not to blame others or your situation.

9. Follow your gut instinct – the majority of the time it is right. If you believe in it, follow it.

10. Seek guidance. Take action. Don’t just sit there, make it happen.

11. Write down what you want. Most people focus more on what they don’t want than what they do want. The more you focus on what you don’t want, the more of that is exactly what you will get.

12. Write down your goal and visualise yourself achieving it. Visualisation is crucial because if you hold that thought long enough, believe you will achieve it, and it will start to manifest itself, by encouraging you to take inspired action to bring it about.

13. Remind yourself that your current situation is fine for now but in the meantime you will work on achieving your ultimate dreams. Learning to be content¬† is the key, but always remembering that you are destined for better things, it’s just a matter of time.

14. Surround yourself with positive people. Negativity rubs off.

15. Do nice things for other people. It will make you feel good about yourself, makes you feel positive and good karma will come back around!
Instead of focusing on your problems, find a solution (if there doesn’t seem to be one right now, keep looking, there will be one!)
